2. Information collected

“Describe your situation” form

• First name, last name, work email and, if you provide it, the name of your organization.
• The description of your situation: problem, systems used, constraints on your data.
• The date and time of your consent.

Newsletter

• If you subscribe: your email address, the date and time of your consent and of its confirmation, and the page of the site where you subscribed. See the Newsletter section.

Technical information

• IP address and connection data, processed by our hosting provider for site security and to limit abusive submissions.
• Anti-bot verification of forms (Cloudflare Turnstile), which analyzes technical signals from the browser.

Preferences stored in your browser

• Your theme choice (light or dark) and your cookie choice, stored locally in your browser. They are not transmitted to us.

We do not collect information for advertising purposes and we do not use any profiling tools.

3. Purposes of use

• Responding to your request and arranging a conversation.
• Preparing a written proposal, where applicable.
• Sending you the newsletter, only if you have subscribed and confirmed your subscription.
• Ensuring the security of the site and preventing abuse.

We do not use your information for any other purpose without your consent, except as otherwise provided by law. We do not sell it.

4. Consent

The contact form requires your express consent, by means of a checkbox that is not pre-checked. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the person in charge.

5. Newsletter

Purpose. Sending you the weekly NB-TECH SOLUTIONS newsletter, every Monday. Your address is not used for any other purpose, is not sold and is not used for any profiling.

Information retained. Your email address, the date and time of your consent and of its confirmation, the page of the site where you subscribed, and a hash of your IP address (not the address itself), which is used to limit abusive sign-ups.

Consent. Subscribing requires checking a box that is not pre-checked, then confirming through a link sent to your address (double opt-in). Without this confirmation, no newsletter is sent to you and your address is deleted after 30 days.

Withdrawal. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link that takes effect in one click. You may also write to the person in charge.

Retention. Until you unsubscribe. After that, we retain only a record of the withdrawal (address and date), in order to respect your choice and not write to you again.

6. Disclosure to service providers and outside Quebec

We use service providers, bound by confidentiality obligations, to operate this site:

• Cloudflare: site hosting, security, anti-bot verification, storage of requests received through the form (Cloudflare D1 database) before their transfer to our internal records, and storage of the newsletter subscriber list.
• Resend: delivery of the emails generated by the form and by newsletter sign-ups.
• Google: booking calendar, only if you choose to display it.

Some of these providers may process information outside Quebec. Before any such disclosure, we assess whether the information will receive adequate protection there.

7. Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary for the stated purposes, then we destroy or anonymize it.

Requests received through the form are retained for 24 months after the last exchange, unless there is an ongoing business relationship, then destroyed or anonymized.

A newsletter subscriber's address is retained until they unsubscribe; an unconfirmed subscription is deleted after 30 days (see the Newsletter section).

8. Security

We apply reasonable security measures according to the sensitivity of the information: encryption of communications (HTTPS), access limited to those who need it, and providers selected based on their security practices. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information (Quebec's access to information commission) and the persons concerned.

9. Your rights

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Have it rectified if it is inaccurate, incomplete or equivocal.
• Withdraw your consent.
• Request that the dissemination of information cease or that it be de-indexed, in the cases provided for by law.
• Receive the information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used technological format.

We respond to your request in writing within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

10. Cookies

By default, this site uses only essential cookies and local storage:

• Local preferences (theme, cookie choice): browser local storage, with no transmission.
• Security: technical cookies from Cloudflare and Turnstile, needed to protect the site and its forms. Turnstile is loaded only on the contact page and when you use the newsletter sign-up form.

No analytics or advertising cookies are used. If you choose to display the booking calendar, Google may set its own cookies, governed by its privacy policy. You can reopen the cookie banner using the “Cookies” link at the bottom of every page.

11. Automated decisions

We do not make any decision based exclusively on automated processing of your information.

12. Changes

We may amend this policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
